Aboriginal Education

The school supports the individual achievement, engagement and wellbeing of every child. Leaders work to support individual Aboriginal students with their Literacy and/or Numeracy goals. The school has an Aboriginal Learner Achievement Plan that is aligned to whole-school data and our site improvement plan priorities. The support teachers target areas based on current data analysis and school improvement plan priorities.

All Aboriginal Students have plans with personalised Numeracy, Literacy and Wellbeing SMARTaR goals.

An Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer works to support student wellbeing, learning and engagement. They liaise closely with Aboriginal families and are a member of the school Reconciliation Action Planning Team.

The school teaches Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives as an integrated component of our whole-school Connected Curriculum. National Reconciliation Week is planned as a whole-school week of action and is about sharing culture, connecting with community and celebrating Indigenous success at every opportunity.
