West Lakes Shore School is a kind, inclusive and community focused school. We are a zoned primary school that welcomes expressions of interest from all families seeking to secure a place for their child. As a zoned Primary School, priority access is given to families located within the zone and siblings of currently enrolled children. Please note that all kindergarten/preschool enrolments must be done via your local kindergarten/preschool. Please refer to the above information/weblinks for more information on this process. The school adheres to Department guidelines and local Partnership agreements around enrolment.

All families seeking reception enrolment are required to fill out a 'Reception Registration of Interest' form, including the reasons why you are selecting West Lakes Shore School. This includes families with older students already enrolled at West Lakes Shore School and those in our zone.

REGISTRATION OF INTEREST FOR RECEPTION 2025 START ARE OPEN FOR TERM 3 INTAKES

Starting Primary School: From 2024, children who turn 5 years old:

before 1 May can start school in term 1

between 1 May and 31 October can start school in term 3 (mid year intake)

after 31 October can start the next year

Children who start school at the beginning of the year will complete 4 terms of reception. Children who start school in a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.

We aim to ensure families are notified as soon as possible about their child's registration of interest application. Offers are made approximately 6 months prior to your child starting school. This means:

For intake 1 (starting reception at the beginning of the year) - enrolment offers generally occur in term 3 the year prior to commencing

For intake 2 (starting reception in the middle of the year) - enrolment offers generally occur in term 1 of that same year

For all other year level enrolment enquiries (Year 1 - 6) please fill out the 'Expression of Interest - Transfer from another school' form and send it via email to the address listed below.
